In today’s world, Buddha’s teachings about the importance of kindness, generosity and compassion are important now more than ever. It was an honour to participate in the Buddha Bathing ceremony and commemorate Buddha’s 2647th birthday with King Vaughan’s Vietnamese community.
Sat Gupta is an outspoken advocate for Indigenous Canadians, who was kind enough to attend my swearing-in ceremony when I first became an MP. Thank you for your continuous support, I’m very fortunate to be able to call you my friend.
What a gorgeous day for a parade & fair! It was so nice to celebrate the 173rd Annual Schomberg Agricultural Parade & Fair. Big thanks to the Schomberg Agricultural Society — it’s because of you that we can maintain this timeless tradition for our community.

A lovely day for a garden sale! It was so nice to see members of the community come out to support the plant and art sales across King Vaughan earlier this week.
As we mark the end of Police Week, I would like to express my appreciation for all the hard work that our brave men and women in uniform do for the residents of King Vaughan. It is thanks to the sacrifices you make on a daily basis that people in our community can feel safe.
I was fortunate enough to join the Ukrainian-Canadian community to celebrate Vyshyvanka Day, which honours an iconic symbol of Ukrainian culture & tradition. Now more than ever, the vyshyvanka serves as a reminder of the strength and resilience of Ukrainians. Slava Ukraini!
King Vaughan came out in droves for this year’s Strides for Mackenzie Health Run in support of Cortellucci-Vaughan Hospital. Together, our community raised over $200 000! Thank you to the staff & volunteers at Mackenzie Health
for all your hard work in organizing this event.
Celebrating 30 years of incredible service to the residents of Durham. It was a pleasure attending the Women’s Multicultural Resources and Counselling Centre’s Gala of Hope this evening, and speaking with the many inspiring women who have contributed so much to this community.
Last night, I had the opportunity to attend the graduation ceremony for the 2023 class of firefighters for the City of Vaughan. Congratulations to the 18 graduates joining the Vaughan Fire & Rescue Service. Thanks to you, our community will remain a safe place for everyone.
Thank you to the Himachal Cultural Association of Canada for generously hosting me yesterday for your Himachal Day celebration. It was an honor to join you to celebrate the rich cultural history of Himachal and participate in the lamp lighting ceremony.

It was great to see King-Vaughan come together for a Make-A-Wish Fundraiser to support children who show courage in the fight with cancer every single day. Big thank you to Joe Petrollo, and Sal & Sam Maltese for organizing this great event.
Keeping King-Vaughan clean! To commemorate Earth Day, I joined members of our community to pick up trash at one of our local parks. Thank you to everyone who came out in the rain to help out!

Happy to see an amazing turnout for 2023’s Vaughan in Motion Walk for Cancer Care. Thank you to the Vaughan in Motion team and residents of King-Vaughan who came out to support the members of our community fighting against cancer.

Big thanks to MP Stephen Ellis for speaking about his proposed “Blue Seal” National Professional Testing Standard in King-Vaughan!

Another wonderful Eid Bazaar for the residents of King-Vaughan! Thank you to the @mwofvaughan for organizing another great opportunity to support small business owners in our community.
Happy Education and Sharing Day! It was great to join friends at the Chabad of Maple and Chabad of Woodbridge for this wonderful celebration.
I had the opportunity to speak with constituents in Maple about rising crime in our neighborhoods.
Restless Outreach Ministries, a youth-led group in our community, organized a wonderful initiative to provide food and clothing to those who need it the most. I was truly honoured to have been part of it.

Thank you to friends at the Filipino-Canadian Association of Vaughan and his Excellency General Orontes V. Castro for hosting Pierre Poilievre, Melissa Lantsman, and myself.
I’m so happy I had the opportunity to team up with York Regional Police to organize a seniors safety presentation for the seniors in our community. Big thanks to Maria Eva for hosting us and thank you to Officer Andrew Simmonds & Constable Danielle Froud for sharing helpful tips on how seniors in King-Vaughan can keep themselves safe.
An outstanding turnout at our Family Day community skate in King-Vaughan. Thank you to everyone who joined me and happy family day!
Thank you to Enbridge Gas for generously donating hundreds of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to King Fire & Emergency Services. This donation will help our dedicated firefighters continue to do their great work, keeping the residents of King Township safe.
Had a great evening knocking on doors and chatting with constituents in King-Vaughan with Pierre Poilievre! Always a pleasure to check in with the members of our community, and hear about their concerns and how we can better support them.

Always a pleasure to pay a visit to many of the hard-working small business owners in the Tamil Community. Small businesses are the lifeblood of any community, providing quality goods and services, as well as creating job opportunities for local residents.

Very grateful for the opportunity to have spoken with a group of doctors from around the world, that are being prevented from practicing medicine in Canada due to unnecessary government gatekeeping.
Wonderful to see such a great turnout for the City of Vaughan’s inaugural Tamil Heritage Month and Thai Pongai celebration. Iniya Pongal Nalvazhthukkal (Happy Thai Pongal)!
John Ciarallo has been a business leader and active member in our community for over a decade, running Nobleton’s No Frills for over 12 years and collaborating with local food banks in order to give back to the people of King Township. Thank you John for your incredible dedication to our community, and congratulations on your well-deserved retirement!
As Shadow Cabinet Minister for Seniors, it’s important to me that I speak with seniors in King-Vaughan to understand how my colleagues and I can give them the support they need.
I joined King-Vaughan’s Vietnamese community for a lovely ceremony to celebrate the Lunar New Year. I hope that the Year of the Cat brings everyone and their families health, joy and prosperity.

No better way to kick off 2023 by holding a community skate for the residents of King-Vaughan. I was so happy to see people come out to enjoy hot chocolate and some time on the ice with friends and family.
